Between the 4th and 5th centuries, Roman spoons, or Cochlearium, were unearthed in numerous Roman sites and in England.

The small Roman spoon with its tapering handle is 10.7cm in length. The bowl is attached to the decorative arched neck of the stem which is flat in section and curls back towards the head, allowing it to hang seamlessly on the rim of your cup.
